No new teams.
Bad language does not constitute VC.
Many agreed that 25 red card and 6 VC were way too many.
Somers probation will continue another year.
It was suggested that the coaches/managers speak with the referee after the game to get carded player information and pass this along to the league president ASAP.

06/29/19 Paul Gjuraj Somers $200 red card, VC
None were contested and some were paid. Red cards (25) & 6 violent conduct must stop as reported by Lori. Mario tried to explain his red cards but Lori said there are no excuses, what the ref says goes. Mario would not concede to the problems his team is facing but Lori tried to steer him in the right direction. Somers probation continues for another year and the augmented fines are still in effect. Guy questioned why he did not hear about his player’s red card until one week after incident. Lori explained it takes time to coordinate all the information when it is not received in a prompt manner. Plus Lori was bombarded with red card notifications. Frank mentioned bad language and red cards. Bad language alone does not constitute violent conduct.
New Business:
Discuss Summer Tournament: Frank 5 min
Budgeted $2,880 for event. Tournament was postponed in July due to extreme heat and the make-up date in August was met with a lukewarm response so that leaves the funds available for next year’s summer t’ney
We will use the funds for next year’s summer t’ney
Overview of Standings: Lori 5 min
Germania won A Division, Putnam Valley Putnam FC won B Division. As per our by-laws Put Valley PFC needs to choose. Their decision is to move up to the A Division. This means Mahopac Falls relegates to the B Division. Mahopac Falls team decided to drop out
Our by-laws state:
League competes in two divisions (split in half evenly, except if uneven # of teams exist) the top half teams in ‘A Division’ and bottom half teams in ‘B Division’. The divisions will compete for two seasons (Fall & Spring) and at the end of league play the ‘B Divison’ winner will have the choice to advance to the ‘A Division’. If the advancement is chosen, then the team in the ‘A Division’ with the least amount of points relegates to the ‘B Division’.
Champion’s Trophy: Lori 2 min
Germania and Putnam Valley are our division winners. The trophies were handed out at the August meeting.
Discuss Division set-up 10 min
The league continues to grow so it might be prudent to break up into 3 divisions:
A Division: Germania BW, New Paltz, Somers, Hudson Valley (moved to over 48), Rhinebeck, Putnam FC Valley, Olimpia, Geordies (7 teams)
B Division: Putnam Valley (fka Mahopac 40) Mahopac Falls (dropped out), Inter-Rhinebeck, Croton SC, Cornwall FC, Loko, Lagrange, Beekman, New Paltz B, Hudson River (9 teams)
Not enough teams to develop 3 divisions due to some teams dropping out or moving to
Over 48
Games Commissioner’s Report: James Bowne 5 min
Schedule to be generated before first game. Keep in mind holidays, t’neys, state cup
Discuss Upcoming Game Schedule
A Division plays _____ games
B Division plays _____ games
Over 48 plays _______ games
Fields: Once again, we will try to schedule as many double headers as possible to alleviate scheduling problems. Please let me know what times your fields are available on Saturdays.
Game Cancellations: In the Spring there were 6 games that were cancelled past the Thursday deadline, and the referees were paid from the general account. I will be sending out requests for repayment to the teams responsible for cancelling said matches.
Whenever possible the teams that share fields (Croton, Stringham, New Paltz) must play with time slots that follow each other (example 2pm & 4pm). Frank mentioned for Stringham that coaches must let him know when a makeup game is being played or any field change so he can report to town. Season starts 9/7/19, take note of daylight savings time.
Team Rosters
Each team needs to submit a new roster on an updated form. The rosters used at weekly games will be the new updated form and must be signed by each player in attendance
State Cup Report: James Bowne 3 min State Cup Dates: First Sunday 10/6/19 Sat 10/5/19 (Changed from 10/13) Second Sunday 11/10/19 Sat 11/9/19 Third Sunday 12/8/19 Sat 12/7/19
Registrar’s Report: James Bowne 5 min
Treasurer’s Report: James Bowne 2 min
James handed out report and we reviewed it.
Referee Assignor’s Report: James Bowne 5 min
Referee Fees: The ENYASA (Eastern NY Adult Soccer) has increased the center referee fee from $75 to $80, and so the share for each Over 40 team is $85 per game. Over 48 remains the same at $60, or $30 per team.
Assignor Fees: We will be charging $7 per game to assign a 3 referee system, and $4 for a one referee system per game. Over 40 teams should budget $40 for the season, and Over 48 should budget $25.
James made motion, the team or teams responsible for canceling a match after 5pm Thursday (proceeding the upcoming match) will be responsible for paying the center referee and assistant referees fees, motions was 2nd, all in favor except Mario who abstained
James gave a presentation about new laws of the game. There was much discussion.
The web site to review the new laws: theifab.com
President’s Report: Lori Brengelmann 3 min
I will start the process of editing the by-laws so they will be less likely to be misinterpreted.
