The Week in Review - June 24th

In D1, OTPHJ FC took down Brooklyn Red Star 3-0 behind goals from Ricki Friede (2) and Craig Schackner... Orchard played out a wild game against CLS and came out on top behind four goals by Edouard Darres. Alex Wasilewski had three for CLS... Zum Gelb finished strong with four late goals to beat Set Shop Ramblers 7-1... And Hudson edged the Prairie Dogs of Brooklyn 2-1... In D2, Gotham City Red stayed hot as they shut out Beyond 5-0, and new signing Jermaine Hibbert jumped back into the lead on the scoring charts... Triboro FC scored their first three points of the season with a 6-3 win over the Gunners behind a hat-trick by Noah Birnbaum (their right back!)... And Ballistic FC still haven't conceded this season as they downed Barmy Army 3-0. Yannick Salmon had 2 goals in the win... In our Men's 8v8 Division, Wiz KhaFIFA settled back in to their familiar place on the top of the table, but The Big Lewandowski and the reborn NYC United are tied with Wiz K on points... The Ruelers vaulted into first place in our Women's 8v8 Division, and CPR exploded for a big first win, so it's going to be another tight race this summer... Our Coed 7v7 Division is full, and teams are set, so the schedule will be out next week, and free agents will be introduced to their teams, so start thinking of team names...
